Recover Lost Files with Computer Data Recovery
I am having a problem with my Windows 7 system. Each time I power on the computer, it runs through a series of BIOS screens, and then starts beeping before I get to the loading page. This beeping happens for about 10-15 seconds, and then the screen goes completely black. I sometimes get a list of options, with the system asking me to choose which operating system I want to use, and when I choose one, it goes into another black screen, from which there is no escape. I have removed the CMOS battery recently, because it was unstable, but I replaced it with another. I didn’t touch any of the switches in the battery, and they look the same to me. However, as soon as I did this, the problems began. There has been no other change in the system, so I am pretty sure that the CMOS battery is the problem. I have not just lost the OS, but also the data that was on the computer. It is this data that I really want to recover, as a lot of it is very important for me.
I have a small Windows 7 desktop computer, which has Seagate hard drives which were formatted before the OS started. I have replaced the original Windows XP system with Windows 7, which was done some time ago. I have saved a lot of work data to the drive, as I tend to work from home and this is the most convenient way to preserve it. Most of it is not backed up. I have come back from a trip to find that I can’t get into the Windows OS at all. It simply will not respond, there are no error messages, and I can see the BIOS showing the drive, but when I click to access it, nothing happens. Windows 7 has been working fine on the drive for such a long time that I didn’t do any backups of anything and now don’t know what to do.
