Retrieve Data From A Lenovo Desktop PC

LENOVO THINKCENTRE M57:

I have a ThinkCentre M57 which is having a problem with the keyboard. Essentially, although I have the right language settings in Windows 7, I keep getting a load of letters added to my files which I have not entered. I do Data Entry for a living, which involves steady amounts of typing and writing and the articles have to be perfect. The documents which are affected all appear to be ones which were saved during a particular time period, starting on a date in the last three months. Before that, there is no problem, but it is something which has persisted right up to the present moment. All of my data files are being affected, and I don’t know how to stop the problem.

LENOVO THINKCENTRE M57:

The problem with the Lenovo ThinkCentre M57 that I am using, is probably not too difficult to resolve, but I am having trouble finding the answer by myself. The main problem is that the USB ports on my computer seem to have been damaged, so that I am not able to use any of the ports for devices such as Wi-Fi dongles or flash drives. The problem is slightly more urgent than it might appear because I have recently been hearing some faint clicking noises from the hard drive. I put in a USB port to recover the data that is on the drive, and that is when the USB ports failed. They are all in a little row on the front of the computer, connected by a strip of metal, so I assume that they have all gone down at the same time because they use the same electronic connections. I need to be able to recover the data on the drive before the computer really dies.
